SOL Rooftop and the bars at SkyCity Adelaide
You do not need to make the bars the centre of a stay at Eos, but they matter when you are planning one or two nights on the Riverbank. SkyCity publishes a rooftop venue, a riverbank bar, a cocktail and wine bar, an entertainment venue and several restaurants where drinks are part of the offer.

SOL Rooftop: what the hotel publishes
SOL Rooftop is the name SkyCity Adelaide publishes for its rooftop bar on Level 9. The official description is specific rather than long: a rooftop bar with “West Hollywood casual sophistication with South Australian taste”. That is the wording to rely on before you book; the fetched official material does not publish a wider set of room-like rooftop facilities, and it does not give a separate view description beyond the venue’s rooftop position.
The published opening hours are Wed–Thu 2pm–10pm, Fri 2pm–1am, Sat 11am–1am, Sun 12pm–10pm. No Monday or Tuesday hours are published in the facts compiled for this page, so do not assume the venue is open then. If SOL is central to your stay, check the current official listing at SkyCity Adelaide’s eat and drink page before you request a room.
For an Eos guest, the practical point is placement. Eos by SkyCity is on Festival Drive, and SkyCity Adelaide also addresses itself from North Terrace. That puts you between the railway station side of the city, Festival Plaza and the Riverbank. SOL sits within that same complex, so it can work as an early-evening stop before dinner or as a final drink after a city walk, without needing a taxi back to another suburb.
If you are comparing a room request with meal planning, keep SOL separate from the hotel’s sleeping arrangements. Room categories are published as Allure Rooms, Oasis Suites, Radiance River View Suites and The Grace Villa; the rooftop listing does not attach specific room benefits to any of those categories. For the accommodation side, use our guide to rooms and suites rather than reading rooftop access into the room names.
Westward and the riverbank bars
Westward is the bar most directly tied to the river in SkyCity’s published wording. It is described as “A riverbank bar at SkyCity Adelaide for cocktails, weekend live music and drinks before or after an Adelaide Oval event”. That tells you three useful things. It is positioned on the Riverbank, it is set up for drinks rather than a formal restaurant description, and SkyCity links it to Adelaide Oval timing.
The same facts do not publish Westward hours. That matters on a short stay, because Adelaide Oval nights, weekend live music and pre-event service can create a different rhythm from an ordinary weekday. If the bar is part of your plan, verify the current session times with the venue before you settle on dinner times or a post-match return route.
Chandelier Bar is another published SkyCity Adelaide bar. Its official description is a cocktail and wine bar with “South Australia’s largest range of premium spirits, custom cocktails and fine wines”. That is a venue claim, not an independent ranking from this site. The fetched facts do not publish opening hours for Chandelier Bar, so treat it as a named option inside SkyCity Adelaide rather than a guaranteed stop at any hour.
The District is published as an entertainment venue, brewery and sports bar, with SkyCity’s own phrase “Adelaide’s ultimate entertainment venue”. The District opened on 3 December 2020 according to the SkyCity market release included in the facts. Again, the bar identity is published; event programming, session timing and particular shows are not provided in the facts for this page. If a match or concert at Adelaide Oval is your reason for choosing the Riverbank, read our separate note on match and concert nights at Adelaide Oval so you can keep walking times, dinner and return plans in the right order.
Bars attached to restaurants
Several SkyCity Adelaide dining listings also matter if you are planning drinks, even when the venue is not only a bar. Madame Hanoi is published as a “Modern South - East Asian” venue and a “Multi-award winning Southeast Asian restaurant and cocktail bar”. The current facts list dinner Tue–Thu 5–8:30pm and Fri–Sat 5–9:30pm, with phone +61 8 8218 4166 and no closure notice. If you want a cocktail bar attached to dinner, this is the most clearly published restaurant-and-bar combination in the compiled material.
The Guardsman is listed as a bar and restaurant “in the heart of the Adelaide CBD”. The phrase is broad, and the fetched facts do not add hours, menu detail or a position within the SkyCity complex beyond the venue listing. Use it as a named option, then confirm directly if you need a particular sitting.
Central Café is published as an “all-new” café, conveniently located next to the main gaming floor. Xpress is listed as a casual restaurant with “Seasonal menus”. Both are part of the food-and-drink roster, but the facts do not support describing them as cocktail-led venues. Huami, iTL Italian Kitchen and The Kitchen sit more naturally in the restaurant planning column; you can see how they fit into a two-night stay on our restaurants page.
There is one boundary worth keeping clear. The casino is a physical venue within SkyCity Adelaide, not something this site offers access to online. If you only want the hotel, the rooftop, the spa and the Riverbank, you can plan the stay that way; use the casino, factually only if you need the access rules and published venue facts.
How to use the bars over one to three nights
For a one-night stay, keep the plan simple. Arrive from North Terrace or Festival Drive, check the current SOL hours, and decide whether the rooftop works before dinner or after it. If your room request is built around a river-facing category, remember that the only published room name carrying that cue is Radiance River View Suites. Do not assume a rooftop outlook, bar access or a particular view unless the hotel confirms it.
For two nights, split the precinct. Use the first evening for SOL or Chandelier Bar inside SkyCity Adelaide, then use the second for Westward if you are walking the Riverbank or returning from the Oval side. The venue sits between city transport, Festival Plaza and the river, so the advantage is not a long transfer; it is the ability to keep the evening within a compact area.
For three nights, add a quieter evening. Eos also publishes BODHI Spa at Eos by SkyCity on Level 1, open daily 10am–6pm except public holidays, with adjoining gym, changing rooms, dry sauna, steam room, warm spa pool, swimming pool and quiet lounge. A late afternoon spa appointment, followed by an early dinner rather than a bar crawl, may suit if you are using Adelaide as a short city reset. Our Eos Spa guide covers only the published details.
What is not published is as important as what is. The compiled facts do not give every bar’s hours, do not publish a dress code from the fetched pages, and do not provide prices. The standalone Eos site, eosbyskycity.com.au, was unreachable when the facts were compiled on 2026-10-23, so this guide relies on the fetched SkyCity Adelaide material and named official listings rather than filling gaps.
